Portsmouth star’s World Cup in doubt after latest FIFA ruling
Portsmouth have had a frustrating last few games in the Championship.
Pompey are without a win in their last few games in the Championship, following the latest defeat to Ipswich Town.
John Mousinho has a growing Portsmouth injury list ahead of Wednesday night’s clash against Watford at Fratton Park.
Portsmouth are now expected to finish close to the relegation zone, despite having started the season in the play-off spots.
The Blues have now been given another worrying update surrounding one of their players ahead of the World Cup next summer.

Luke Le Roux may miss out on World Cup dream
Luke Le Roux was signed from the Swedish side IFK Varnamo in the summer, with a view to bolstering the midfield.
Le Roux was one of Portsmouth’s best players in their dismal defeat to Sheffield Wednesday and was also decent against Ipswich.
The midfielder was in the South Africa squad during the most recent international break as they took another step towards World Cup qualification.
However, FIFA have now deducted three points from South Africa and annulled their World Cup qualifying victory over Lesotho during the last break.
FIFA handed down the punishment after an investigation found they fielded an ineligible player in the fixture.
South Africa will now drop behind Benin in their qualifying group and out of the automatic spots for the World Cup.

This may have a massive impact on Le Roux, who would have been dreaming of a spot at the World Cup next summer.
Luke Le Roux should be featuring more for Portsmouth
Fans have been calling for Le Roux to be brought in from the start, to add another dimension to the Portsmouth side.
The South African started his first game in the Championship against Ipswich after impressing off the bench against Sheffield Wednesday.
- Le Roux signed for Portsmouth this summer from IFK Varnamo
- The midfielder has played six times for Portsmouth across all competitions
- Le Roux has won nine caps for South Africa, making his debut in 2022.
Le Roux’s crisp passing and urgency on the ball are something that Portsmouth desperately need at the moment.
Mousinho could do worse than giving the 25-year-old an extended run in the first team, as he looks to turn around Pompey’s poor recent run.
