Portsmouth vs Watford preview: Team news, lineups and score prediction
Portsmouth are set to take on Watford on Wednesday as they look to return to winning ways.
Pompey are without a win in their last three matches, with their last coming in the 1-0 victory against Preston at the end of August.
After poor Portsmouth displays against Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich, John Mousinho is no doubt desperate for a win at Fratton Park.
As a result, Pompey News has highlighted everything you need to know about the impending match.

Form guide
Portsmouth: DWDLL
Watford: DDLLW
Team news
Portsmouth are hoping to have Josh Murphy back for the tie after the winger missed the last two fixtures.
Harvey Blair has also recovered from his injury, while Conor Chaplin will be available for selection after missing the Ipswich match due to it being his parent club.
However, Mousinho is still set to be without Nicolas Schmid, Franco Umeh, Conor Shaughnessy, Callum Lang and Thomas Waddingham, who all remain on the sidelines.
- Murphy missed both of the Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich’s matches through injury
- Mousinho confirmed that the winger had a minor ankle issue
- The manager has not ruled out Murphy returning for the Watford tie
For Watford, Kwadwo Baah is likely to be out of the Portsmouth match after picking up an injury on the weekend.
Egil Selvik should be available for the visitors after he passed concussion protocol.
Giorgi Chakvetadze and Jack Grieves remain out of action.

Predicted lineups
Portsmouth: Bursik, Swanson, Knight, Poole, Ogilvie, Pack, Dozzell, Segecic, Chaplin, Murphy, Bishop
Watford: Selvik, Alleyne, Keben, Pollock, Petris, Louza, Mendy, Kayembe, Ngakia, Semedo, Irankunda

Prediction: Portsmouth 1-0 Watford
While Portsmouth have been poor at home this season, the Watford game is the perfect opportunity to turn their fortunes around.
If Murphy is fit and available, there is no reason why Pompey cannot pick up a victory against a side that is likely to struggle throughout the campaign.
Plenty of Mousinho’s players will be seeing the match as a perfect opportunity to return to form, including Colby Bishop, who is on a goal drought at Portsmouth at present.
While it is unlikely to be a memorable victory, Pompey are likely to edge out Watford in a tight 1-0 win.
