Portsmouth now face a stern test as they welcome league leaders Middlesbrough to Fratton Park, hoping to end the visitors’ unbeaten run.

Mousinho has some selection calls to make ahead of Boro’s visit to the South Coast as he looks to turn things around for the Blues.
Portsmouth beat Middlesbrough 2-1 when the two sides last met in January 2025, with Matt Ritchie grabbing a brace.
If Pompey do pull off the win on Saturday, it will be the first time they have beaten Middlesbrough twice in a row in nine years.
Portsmouth were victorious twice over Boro in 2006, beating them 1-0 in April, followed by a 4-0 thrashing in August.

While it will be a tough task against Rob Edwards’ side, Pompey know how important a positive result on Saturday is to stop the slump.
