Tottenham fan spoke to soon with ridiculous Yang Min-hyeok post as Portsmouth loanee starts to shine

Portsmouth pulled off the upset of the weekend in the Championship by beating Middlesbrough.

John Mousinho had big decisions to make against Middlesbrough, as another loss would have piled pressure onto the Pompey boss.

Despite the win, Mousinho still had his critics as the performance was far from perfect, but Portsmouth managed to see off the challenge posed by Storm Amy.

Tottenham fan described Yang Min-hyeok’s loan move to Portsmouth as ‘poor’

Yang‘s last three games have all come in the starting line-up, while in Pompey’s first five Championship games of the season, he was used as a substitute on just one occasion.

The South Korean has been on fire lately for Mousinho‘s side, and is now making one Tottenham fan in particular look rather silly.

Tottenham fan @InvertTheWing on X:

“Everybody talks about Mikey Moore’s disaster loan, but Yang Min-hyeok has played zero minutes for Portsmouth since 16 August. Not even off the bench.

“When will people stop the maybe they aren’t good enough” narrative, and realise that these poor loans happen so often, that more likely than not whoever is in charge of finding loans is incompetent.”

Yang’s strike came in the first half when Jordan Williams fired a ball across the box, which found the winger as his powerful effort was too much for Sol Brynn in the Boro goal.

Adrian Segecic has been a revelation for Portsmouth, as Mousinho may have found his next star in Yang.

Yang has surely cemented himself as a starter for Portsmouth

Portsmouth had been without a win in four before Saturday as Mousinho’s side really needed a win heading into the international break.

Pompey only registered one shot on target against Middlesbrough, which was from the match-winner Yang.

The 19-year-old is really starting to show why Tottenham invested in him, and more importantly, why Portsmouth brought him to the club, as he has made a statement with his last two performances.

After the break, Pompey have promotion-chasing Leicester City in what is to be another difficult game. You would expect Yang to be nailed on, as he will look to carry his momentum into a busy period coming up for Portsmouth.
