Eisners to make final Portsmouth calls after new fan developments – Exclusive
Portsmouth fans were in full voice as Leeds United came crashing down at Fratton Park on Sunday.
Colby Bishop scored the winner in the second half on 9 March, with Championship survival now looking more likely under John Mousinho.
The Portsmouth Supporters’ Trust launched their annual survey on 2 March, which allows these fans their say on several topics, including ticket pricing, matchday experience and financial sustainability.
The results are then to be shared with owners Michael and Eric Eisner, as well as the directors, as they did last year when 2400 fans completed the survey.

Dan Plumley analyses Portsmouth Supporters’ Trust survey
With important subjects like financial sustainability changing all the time, Portsmouth fans will hope that the power brokers, including chief executive Andrew Cullen, take their opinion seriously.
Dan Plumley believes the Eisners deserve credit for being willing to take the fans’ views on board and suggested that the survey could have a significant influence at board level.
Teams | Matches | Wins | Draws | Losses | Goal Difference | Points |
16. Preston | 36 | 9 | 16 | 11 | -6 | 43 |
17. Portsmouth | 36 | 11 | 9 | 16 | -13 | 42 |
18. Oxford United | 36 | 9 | 12 | 15 | -16 | 39 |
However, the football finance expert clarified that any decisions that follow will ultimately be made by the owners and the board.
“I think you can try and have a voice, I’m not ultimately sure”, Plumley exclusively told Pompey News.
“It is difficult, isn’t it, because ultimately there is an owner and they will make the ultimate decision as a board with the majority.
“But, I think the fans can, in this regard, have a say and having that voice is important. Fair play to the club for taking those views on board.
“Giving the fans a voice, I think, is really important and you are hoping that has an impact in the boardroom as well.”

Mousinho creates air of positivity at Fratton Park
Meanwhile, things are looking positive on the pitch for Portsmouth after facing the prospect of suffering relegation earlier this season.
Mousinho has led Pompey to four wins in their last five Championship games – a run that has seen them move 10 points clear of the relegation zone.
The Fratton Park outfit, who beat Leeds United 1-0 on Sunday (9 March), will now look to end the season strongly as they hopefully prepare for another campaign in the Championship.
