Mousinho wants talks with Premier League midfielder as Portsmouth eye deal
John Mousinho is looking to the Premier League as he eyes new recruits for his Portsmouth side.
The 39-year-old exceeded expectations as he kept Pompey in the Championship with a five-point margin to the relegation zone.
The Fratton Park outfit will look to build on their survival to consolidate their position and avoid a slump next season, which could see them relegated back to League One.

Mousinho eyeing Mustapha deal as Crystal Palace future uncertain
Mousinho needs significant backing from Michael Eisner if he is to keep the South Coast outfit in a comfortable position in the new campaign.
A report from Alan Nixon, via his Patreon (11 May), claims that the former Burton Albion man is seeking a loan deal for Palace youth star Hindolo Mustapha with the top-flight club uncertain over their plans for his future.
It states that he has personally watched the 18-year-old in Under-21s action and believes that he is ready for second-tier stardom.

Portsmouth can repeat Potts success with Mustapha
Pompey had great success when bringing Potts in on loan from top-flight West Ham and could repeat the trick with the Eagles star, if they can convince Palace to sanction a temporary switch.
Mustapha has been nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Season award after he has notched 11 goals and nine assists in 28 appearances for Darren Powell’s side this season.

Potts was a vital figure as Mousinho’s side avoided relegation but they might not be able to convince the Hammers to sanction another loan deal this summer, so they may need a replacement and Mustapha could be the perfect option.
The Palace man would be a risky signing as he has never featured in the senior ranks in his career, but it could prove to be a masterclass if he shines in his first taste of regular football at the professional level.
Mousinho has shown that he can get the best out of top-tier loanees, so he will be confident that he can do the same with the three-time Sierra Leone international and make it worthwhile for all parties.
