Portsmouth in hot pursuit of international No 10 in £4.25m deal
Portsmouth have begun to shortlist targets for the summer transfer window, with multiple exciting names linked to the South Coast club.
After a successful first season back in the Championship, all eyes are now on Pompey to see who they sign this summer.
Expectations are high as there is a real hope that John Mousinho can build on what he has already achieved at Fratton Park.
Preparations have already begun, with Portsmouth recently releasing six first-team players.

Portsmouth ‘in contention’ for Abdoulie Manneh‘s signature
Now, signings are needed, and Pompey have their eyes set on youngster Abdoulie Manneh.
One of Portsmouth’s top targets this summer is a midfielder. Freddie Potts has now returned to West Ham, leaving Pompey light in this position.
Portsmouth have been targeting Hindolo Mustapha from Crystal Palace, but there is no guarantee that they can get this over the line with numerous other clubs also circling.
Now, it seems that the Fratton Park side has another target as they set their sights on Manneh.
According to the Sunday Mirror, page 69, (11 May), Portsmouth are one of many clubs pursuing the 20-year-old.
The attacking midfielder currently plays for Mjällby in the Swedish Allsvenskan and has scored seven times in 12 matches so far this campaign.
He is currently valued at £4.25 million, however, it is believed that the Gambian international could leave for less.
Multiple Premier League sides are looking at Manneh, including Brighton, Wolves and Bournemouth. However, the report also states that Portsmouth are in contention for his signature.

Manneh would be a sensational signing for Portsmouth
If Portsmouth were to bring in Manneh, it would be an unbelievable signing for the South Coast club.
It is clear that Manneh has potential with the number of Premier League sides who are looking to sign him this summer.

Yet, if Mousinho can beat these clubs to the attacking midfielder, it would be a significant coup.
Manneh is the type of player who can win a side multiple points in a campaign, and he could lift Portsmouth up the Championship table.
On top of this, Pompey would almost certainly make a healthy profit on the 20-year-old if they ever elected to sell him.
