John Mousinho to thank yet again as winger speaks out on Portsmouth move
Portsmouth fans will be confident of building on last season thanks to their business in the transfer window.
John Mousinho has made six new signings already this summer, and each of them has looked promising in their early performances.
Several of these signings have claimed they were sold on signing for Portsmouth as soon as they had their first meeting with Mousinho.
This has led many fans to question exactly what Mousinho’s saying in these initial talks.

Yang Min-hyeok credits Mousinho enthusiasm as key reason why he joined Portsmouth
It seems the famous ‘Mousinho pull’ was in action when persuading Yang Min-hyeok to sign for Pompey.
Yang signed on a season-long loan from Tottenham earlier in August and looked bright on his debut against Oxford United.
Yang struggled against Reading in the Carabao Cup, but many of his teammates also had an off day in that match.
Mousinho had been tracking Yang for a long time, and the 19-year-old has now revealed how the Pompey boss tempted him to Fratton Park.
In an interview with the official Portsmouth FC website on 18 August, he said: “When we spoke, he had done a PowerPoint presentation about me and talked in a detailed way about how I would be used in the team.
“I choose to join Pompey after hearing the enthusiasm he had for me and am very happy to have this new start.”

Portsmouth reserves may have to wait for first-team chance after Reading defeat
Mousinho named a much-changed side to face Reading in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The match was billed as a first-team audition for the likes of:
- Yang
- Luke Le Roux
- Mark Kosznovszky
- Several other reserve team players
Sadly, most of them fluffed their lines as the League One side dumped them out of the competition.
In normal circumstances, that might have meant that Yang would have to wait a little longer for a chance to shine in the Championship.
However, since Callum Lang has been ruled out of action with a hamstring injury, he might get another chance to show what he can do against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Portsmouth lost this fixture 5-1 last season, and it will be a tough match this time around too. If Yang can have a positive impact on the result, that would be a great way to kickstart his career and endear himself to the Pompey fans.
